2022 SOA & CAS Elections

Every year, actuaries designated by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) vote for the board of directors, the president, and the various sections. This year, there seemed to be a resistance to bringing Diversity, Inclusion and Equity to the forefront for certain individuals. Adequate representation is important, but less than 20% of eligible members voted in the SOA election and 37% of eligible members voted in the CAS election.
